Nice one Denise!
It has been crappy weather here as well. These were shot in pouring rain last tuesday:
Both are focus-stacked with 6-8 photos if I remeber correctly. I deleted the original shots....stupid me :P

I thought it was neat how the swiirling sand and pebbles in the water bore out these round holes in the rock, and then makes for some neat looking water falls.
This is called the Kettles and is a little up stream of where the Prique Ilse River empties into Lake Superior in the Porcupine Mountain State Park in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Re: Post Your Best Nature Shots!
Looks like it has been wet everywhere this week. I'm glad it didn't deter some of you from getting out and taking pictures.
Today was my first outing with my new 16-35mm zoom, but I spent most of the time dodging showers and waiting for the sun to come out, so not too many keepers. This was my favourite shot with the new lens.

Here's another view of the same stretch of the river Tay, looking upstream.

Andy:
I like the colors and reflection in the first one... the skies not much to look at so you wisely cropped that out.
The second one - I like the low clouds coming down into the hills.

Re: Post Your Best Nature Shots!
Was at a local lake trying, of course, for some bird photography but this Mallard would not get close so I did a landscape shot with the 300mm 2.8 and the 1.4 TC...
