I took one of the lizard at f/3.2 too, but it came out kind of funky. The head is in focus, but nothing else! I liked the f/5.6 shot better.
Thanks for viewing.

Dave, I saw your other shots of the trip, but missed these two - nice work!
Here is the opposite of macro, I had to crop to 100%
What's up?

Elephant Seal Pup - - - Ano Nuevo State Park, CA by ernogy, on Flickr[/img]
Ano Nuevo State Park, California.
This male elephant seal was doing his best to look his best in front of his harem. Males weight up to 4000-5000 lbs, compared to the pups who are born at 75 pounds, fatten up to 300 lbs on mother's milk for 2-3 months, then are left to fend for themselves. The ranger led 3-mile wildlife walk was a great way to spend family time on the weekend.

I love kayaking and this is an added benefit... I've been able to whiteness things that I probably would not have been able to in a canoe.

It's been a painful month not having my own computer, programs and files to work with but my newly built computer is working great (thanks to my daughter) and I am back taking and posting photos once again :-)

And another one - similar shooting details. The silent continuous shutter mode on the 5DMKII is great for candid shots of wary mammals. This buck didn't hear me from 30 yards on a quiet day and I shot ca. 30 images from a blind.
