Taking a little break from editing today and thought I'd share one. This is Ellie the Elephant.

    Busy week-end!

I really start to like the background; here playing with the white part and it seems I need to iron it a bit.

Hey thanks Bob! Means a lot. I'm just starting to move away from available light on my paying jobs. I've been pleased so far. More importantly, so have my clients.

I just finished taking an Intro to Digital Photography class at the local community college. This is a portrait that I did for an assignment.. This is my favorite of the session.

Even though I have the big lights now, I still remember that the REALLY big lights still shouldn't be neglected. Large window behind me, camera right. Bounced flash off of the wall camera left.

Great shot Rocco! The best light is free, we just need to figure out how to use it to our advantage -- which I think you found! Cheers!
    Cheers!

Can't even tell you how much I'm enjoying the new lights. As always, feedback is welcome and appreciated.

I really like how you lit this Rocco. It draws my attention to the banjo more than the musician though (which is both fine and/or your intent ). Did you use any different setups? Einsteins are hard to beat. Talk about bang for your buck!
