Played stare down with this guy on saturday afternoon. The sun was at his back but it still came out ok .

There was a nice looking moon tonight so I snapped a few photos when I was out walking my dog. I really would like to get a 2x extender this summer!

It's been several months since I posted anything on TDP, but I've kept an eye on the forum and been inspired by the pictures and discussions. Until last week, I had only taken about a dozen pictures so far this year. I finally had some time to get out with the camera last week. These two shots are from Insh Marshes National Nature Reserve.

I like the background on the first one. For an impressionistic feeling, I wonder what it would look like with a zoom, and zooming in or out within the exposure. Athough, that may end up to obscure for your tastes.Originally Posted by jrw

Appreciate your thoughts. Am slowly realizing that I am trying to get more of a painted look into some of these smaller scenes so I am having an interesting time with different filters and printing to more heavily textured media to try it out and see where it might lead me. It is fast becoming something that can only be produced in print.

Cloudly day, and during the shoot my feet were under 20 cm of mud and dirty water, while the highland midges were killing my face, but... 10/10 worth.
