I love the low angle shots you can get from a Kayak (or at least I assume that is how you got these). Especially this one.

Reminds me of Nate's shots... one of the things that made his water fowl shots stand out was getting that low angle (among other things), and not shooting down on them. Basically, that is what everyone in the Bird post does, but shooting straight on is more difficult with water fowl... you either have to be a belly crawler or get into a low vessel (kayak).

These were taken from my kayak. I was a bit worried about hand holding the 150-600S from the kayak, but it turned out to not be an issue. But, I'd recommend kayaking and photography from a kayak to just about anyone. A different perspective of things from the water and, often it seems, animals are just not as threatened by someone in a kayak vs from the land.

Thanks! I took some test shots to get the framing and exposure right, then I handed the camera to my sister who was on the trip with me and told her to stand on the spot I was standing, and then I got in position
