One of my all time favourites. This nice gal spent a whole afternoon with us on safari in Tanzania. Thought the big cats would be the highlight, but the elephants stole the show.

I haven't really been out amongst the living lately but I just felt the overwhelming need to go out and shoot something, anything the other day. I went down by the marina at Lake Michigan and shot some photos of ducks, a very calming experience ...until this crawled out between the rocks near where I was sitting! I had never seen a mink before so I was pretty startled! It definitely ended the tranquil experience!

I edited this with the trial version of Topaz Glow.

Was attempting to take "starburst" shots of the sun going behind some low hills and soon noticed a family of Mink was watching me. Changed lenses and managed to get a few shots of them moving and playing through the rocks. Overall I saw at least 7 different mink, but they are quite skittish and wouldn't pose for a full family portrait, so I settled for individuals and pairs.

Wow I love that second one especially! I would be over the moon to get something like that.

Thanks Jonathan! I have to say I was pretty excited when the minks showed up and stuck around long enough for me to change lenses and get a few shots.

A few from me...this was from a drive along the fringe where the Palouse hills start running into the mountains east of Moscow, Idaho.
