+2, I especially like sambisu's solo flower. Yesterday I had planned to spend a few hours outside with the camera, but unfortunately the weather wasn't with me. Stuck indoors I couldn't figure out what to shoot until I decided to do some water drops - it's been a long time since last time I did that. I tried various lighting setups but came to the conclusion that I like a simple backlit setup best. This one is a bit different from most of the others.

This is what I like about photography... you can take something that you look at every day, stop the action, blow it up to see the fine detail, and it ends up revealing the hidden beauty that you never new was there. The cool forms that come out in a water drop, a close up of an ugly Coot (bird) and you find out it has these really neat red eyes and the way water beads up on it, the intricacies of the feathers on a bird, bugs and flowers up close are amazing, eyes (people and animals) just draw you in, you see sunrises and sunsets with a lot more appreciation, you start to notice the way light effects the way you see things, etc., etc., etc....

I burrowed a 180mm f3.5L from my father to do some macro for work. I was setting up the exposures on my light box with a razor blade and accidentally triggered my timer without noticing. This was the result. I thought it was kind of interesting.
