Thanks Mark, it was about 2:00pm, CP filter, glarey and cloudy, the river was a muddy brown, so it had to be black and white, with some contrast and exposure adjustment.

    Thanks Denise.
Great image Rocco, I to like the vintage tones and just the right amount of HDR and great framing with the wagon.

    Rocco:
I like the landscape... interesting background.

But I am confused by the shadows. It looks like the cart shadow is going away from the camera, the snow drift shadow is coming towards the camera, and there are others going across the frame.

    Thanks

No HDR or change in tone applied. The wagon was lit with a 580exII and a 430exII. It was a 30 sec exposure, f/8, ISO1600. Used cloudy white balance; that with the light pollution made for the post apocalyptic feel I was going for.

Another day above 80F. So bizarre for this time of year. I was reading that Traverse City, MI hit 81F yesterday, which is 42 degrees above normal. It's already quite hazy here, as this image from this morning's commute shows.

Way back at the beginning of this thread, I said that I hoped to be a regular contributor of landscape shots. I overlooked that fact that it was then the start of winter and there would not be much daylight or good weather until March. Well, March has arrived and the sun is soon going to be spending more time above the horizon than below, so I have no more excuses. Today's objective was to climb up this hill:

    5D Mark II, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM @ 85mm, 1/160s, f/6.3, ISO 100

    5D Mark II, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM @ 155mm, 1/160s, f/8, ISO 200

It was worth it for the view, but I am suffering from the effects of a sedentary wintertime.

Beautiful scene Andy, but I think I can see the shadow of the helicopter that got you to the top.
