Nice shots! The forum supports to 800px wide. If you show larger photos they will only show a part, but the image is there entirely. When adding pictures you can also import larger files than 800px and have the forum decrease their size by setting boundaries in the import media tab. Also...nice site [H]

By the way...EdN I love the shot you posted![Y]

A couple of my last shots of bald eagles this season:

    40D + 100-400L @ 400mm, 9.0, 1/800, ISO 400

    5DII + 100-400L @ 400mm, 8.0, 1/500, ISO 200

The first shot was taken from a kayak and the second was taken from a boat. Comments and critiques are welcome and much appreciated.

Fantastic Yoni. I particularly like the first shot but they're both great. Looks like you've found a great location to enable you to separate the eagles from the background. You're bloody keen going out there in a kayak with all that nice gear though!

Nice captures Yoni....I'd recommend the ABE in the first pic see a good chiropractor....really enjoy the eye level shots your kayak and boats give you.

I wish our season for ABEs in eastern Massachusetts was in summer (Dec to Mar) and that we had a few more available for pix.

    Regards

Where I live, seeing a blue heron is rare so I was very happy to get these shots today! [] There not great but I'll keep them for now ...until the next time I see one!

Denise, those shots are not too bad, having a great shot of GBH is not that easy if you don't see them very often. GBH is one of my favorite bird to shoot, but they are very shy at least in my area, and compare to the egrets, they don't show up very often.

here is one of my egret shot taken recently

    7D, 300mm 2.8, AV mode, f2.8, 1/125, spot metering -1/3, ISO 400, 30' after sunset, tripod.

    thanks for viewing!

Me too, but I see them quite often. At least one or twice a week. Sometimes daily.
