Different faces of autumn - these photos are taken in my neighborhood with 1 week in between. The first one is from a nice walk last Sunday, and the other one is from this afternoon. Today's walk was shorter...

Time to revive this thread. A week ago things looked pretty bleak. But driving through the White Mtns yesterday I saw some of the best colors I have seen in awhile. Unfortunately, I don't have time to make it back, but hopefully the rest of New England unfolds in a similar way when I get back from this trip.

    Lovely compositions, Brant.

I spent a couple of days this week looking for good autumn colours.

It had been a long time since my last visit to Zermatt. Though it's only 2 hours away from where I live, I had been there only twice before this week and I wasn't really interested in photography at the time. The three days I spent there weren't focused on photography either to be honest, but I still took my 6D with me. I came back thinking I should go there more often...

This is gorgeous, Mark! I've been to the Smokies many times in Gatlinburg but never in the fall. I've missed out!

Apparently, I've been failing this thread! It hasn't had a post since 2017? Last year was a good foliage year. This year, so far so good.

From last weekend...driving over the Kancamagus Hwy through the White Mountains.

Then, more of a dedicated trip for waterfalls in Vermont. We are in a severe drought, and a number of the waterfalls we tried to visit were dry.

Hopefully the storms moving through do not cause massive leaf drop and that there is more out this weekend.
