yes , my wife has a nicer sample of cherry blossoms but wasn't an available model

So I went to pick up a rental Zeiss Distagon 35mm T* f/2 ZE to try out the 3D effect and incredible build quality... and it was raining the minute I picked it up at Fedex. So, I did the best I could and tried some water drop shots on the windshield of my Wrangler. I like the effect of the tree reflection in the drops!

Thanks Steve. I figured that I had to try it out... so far so good. I've had fun with it. The manual focus ring is tremendous as is the build quality. I've had my best luck so far using live view for focusing.

That looks nice Dave, but I think you need to clean your sensor!

Thought I would add some colour to a cold winters day. An Acacia (Wattle, but don't know which one) in full bloom.
The shallow DOF with dark background was deliberate. I was attempting to get the little fur ball flowers to standout. Although the out of focus foreground is a little distracting. There are always compromises with DOF, so I'm still working out what's best.


Canon 7D, 70-300L, f5.6, ISO 400 @ 300mm
