Thanks. It's Trinity Church and the John Hancock Tower in Boston. The Boston Public Library is to my right out of frame.

I have some of kids playing in the fountains by the Christian Science campus, but I wasn't happy with how they came out. The best part of the trip (besides the awesome seafood) was a spur of the moment visit to Bromfield Camera, one of only two camera stores in Boston. They had just taken in a 1D Classic with 1300 shutter clicks and 3 pristine L lenses; a 100-400, a 16-35 Mk I, and a 70-200 f2.8 IS Mk I. I worked a decent trade deal for my 70-300L and now own a virtually new 70-200 f2.8 IS Mk I. I like it a lot.

Here are two I got the other night. I figured I would throw them into this thread as well since it seems to be the most active.

Haven't got out shooting as much lately, but last weekend we had a chance to do a fair bit of kayaking. Mostly I was playing around with a GoPro, but I did pull out the 7D for a few bird shots. Here is one:

    7D
    100-400 L
    220mm
    1/125 sec
    f/10
    400 ISO

Mark, did you get all three lenses for the 70-300L or just the 70-200 IS Mk I. Either way, congrats on the new glass. But if you got all three, I am floored.

I wish, but no, just the 70-200 IS Mk I for my 70-300 and a little cash on my end. I could have done a little better selling it online, but the hassle and the risk of doing so wasn't something I looked forward to. I'm happy with the deal. The 70-200 is tack sharp and accurate. I set up my bottles-in-a-row test in my office and the focus point was exactly where I was aiming.

Now I'm really looking forward to the airshow here in late August. And the week after the airshow there will be a B-25 here for a week offering rides. I'll be getting many pics of that in flight.

    Hi there!

I hope everybody enjoys summer... Here is a first one from a recent trip to southern Italy

Postprocessed it using the Nik plug-in for LR, loads of cool presets.

    Thanks,

Nice shot. That's a pretty nice group on the turkey too! I shot for a long time up until i was about 24 years old and loved 3D. I actually won the Australian FITA, IFAA and 3D champs twice in a row as a junior and then opens and was shooting open freestyle for Merlin Archery for a few years. I've been out of the game for a bit but I'm looking forward to getting back into it once I'm back in Australia. Keep up the good shooting (pun fully intended)
