    Per Bryan from Chuck Westfall;
    The "R" will deliver sharper images, but moiré and aliasing are potential side effects, notably in scenes that include patterns repeating at a specific frequency. Fortunately, Chuck expects this phenomenon to rarely occur and indicated that "If it does, it can usually be mitigated during post processing."

    My decision is made, 5Ds R it is.

    If you were going to see Moire I would think it might be on the pic entitled Yokohama Sky.

    One of the sample pics on the website I linked.

    Does anyone think the purple color cast is normal for the water drops? (see crop)

    Joel, could you cut and paste what you see?

    I am still debating on this one, bird feathers are my concern.
    It troubles me that Canon would post a picture shot at F/11 when the know we are going to be looking for moire.

    I will attempt to do that when I get home...for now if you look at the tallest building in the middle of the image and look over to the right you will a building with a tower attached to it's right side. The face of this building has moire pretty bad in my opinion

    I wondered about the color cast on this one but it also looks like there is something on the face of the building;

    I just downloaded the full resolution picture on my Dell at work, on this monitor it is a moiré nightmare. But when you zoom in you can't see it, so its monitor related and not picture related.
