    Thank you all for your comments and input.

    Crepuscular rays are rays of light radiating from a single point and appear mostly through gaps in clouds at sunset and sunrise. They can be red or yellow or just bright rays shining down or penetrating a cloud. There endeth...

    I only became aware of this in the last month, so I thought I would share the love, or knowledge in this case.

    I call them Steve Almighty Rays! these are killer buddy.

    I had one remark on a flickr image of mine with similar rays, "great Jacob's Ladder!" so now i call these thingies JL Rays.
