I have owned the Tammy that you have purchased for about 3 years now. I had some calibration issues at first and was disappointed (had XSi so no MA). I missed the return deadline from B&H so I sent it to Tamron Service. When I got it back it was a fantastic lens. I still have it to this day and sometimes choose it over my Canon 24-70mm. I have had great luck with it and have no hesitation about using it. I honestly don't think IS would be any help for this focal length anyway. So my opinion would be to save your money and keep this little gem. It rendures skin tones much like your sigma and is on the warm side, but I kind of prefer that anyway. My two cents. []

Thanks, Jayson ...I do think I am going to hang onto it! There was another person that posted somewhere that said when they got it back from Tamron it was the best lens they owned.
