    Rick,

I did shoot JPG with white balance at AUTO, but thought the camera did a good job. The floor, uniforms, and skin tones look natural so I think the white balance is ok. I don't have a color calibrated monitor though so I could be wrong.

Nice series Dave, the camera looks as though it did a good job with the white balance, what picture style was it set on, because the purple and reds are very vibrant, but the faces and floor does look very natural.
    Nice job.

I use that most of the time unless I'm taking someone's portrait then I use the default "portrait" setting. I like the punchy colors.

Maybe that is what I am seeing, a bit of contrast and some over saturation. There is a lot of red and orange in the picture which brings really shows.

    Attempt #2

Take aways from the last attempt:

-- More careful focusing, no more pics of tack sharp garbage cans and blurry players
-- Camera setting of 5-3-3-0 is probably too much for this setting so I dialed back to 4-1-1-0
-- I arrived at the game late and was only there for the 2nd half. 3rd quarter was shot JPEG and the 4th quarter RAW

This shot would have tied the game, but it rimmed out
