We are going to be based on Oahu, but plan on visiting other islands during our stay. Thanks for the info, it is appreciated.

This started out as a simple request (I thought) for a tripod I could easily pack or hand carry on a plane thatcould support my lens and camera.This was not intended to be my only tripod, just a secondaryfor travel or hiking.
