Did you get a grip or an extra battery for your t3i?
if you did they can be used on a t4i, but not the 60d

No, I never got around to the grip. I was playing with the 60D earlier and noticed some interesting things. Most interesting is the level in the menu to ensure the camera is set level. Pretty cool considering my old tri-pod level quit. Other than that I think the battery will be helping me side with the 60D. But is the Digic 5 going to make that much of a difference versus the Digic 4?

You'll still need a level on your tripod if you use a ball head and base for panorama stuff.

Here is a comparison to the 60D and T4.

The 60D actually looks better. What ever the Digic 5 processor is doing it's not helping noise levels.

Does anybody have any real world experience with in camera hdr? I've been playing with it on my iPhone and am really impressed with how it brings out the details otherwise missing in the pictures I've captured. Click image for larger version.

I has caused me to start leaning to the T4i. Any thoughts?

I have played w/ the 5dIII. (rented it for a vacation trip). This is really for static shots, its tough to do with people in the shot.

It is interesting. I tried w/ several gaps in exposure, 2 or 3 stops seemed the best depending on subject. In DPP (Canon's current post processing software) I have done things like 6, the results are a bit odd.

I don't like HDR. I like in-camera-HDR even less. I don't think I'd let that sway what camera I bought AT ALL.

I think the AF points are the same on both cameras. From Canon's website regarding AF points:

    • T4i: "9 points (All AF points are cross-type at f/5.6., Center AF point is diagonal cross-type at f/2.8.)"
    • 60D: "9 (Cross-type, Center AF point with dual cross sensor for f/2.8)"
