Custom setting getting you going in the right direction if you use certain settings a lot. Mine are set for stuff like HDR bracketing and birds in flight. To adjust the setting on the fly, you might forget a setting or in case of unexpected flying birds, miss the shot. Nice to have, but have a few issues with them.

The 60D and T4i both cost $1200 for the bundle deal. For me it's a no brainer, the 60D. As far is IQ is concerned on the DP review comparison the 60D looks just hair better (mabye different partern in the noise) than the T4i.

The 60d does also have some weather sealing in addition to what others have mentioned.

Did you get a grip or an extra battery for your t3i?
if you did they can be used on a t4i, but not the 60d

No, I never got around to the grip. I was playing with the 60D earlier and noticed some interesting things. Most interesting is the level in the menu to ensure the camera is set level. Pretty cool considering my old tri-pod level quit. Other than that I think the battery will be helping me side with the 60D. But is the Digic 5 going to make that much of a difference versus the Digic 4?

You'll still need a level on your tripod if you use a ball head and base for panorama stuff.

Here is a comparison to the 60D and T4.

The 60D actually looks better. What ever the Digic 5 processor is doing it's not helping noise levels.
