That's not a great experience Denise. Now I'm gonna be a bit more caring I think [A] Glad it works again though. There's some moisture under the top lcd of my 5D and I'm not sure if I should have it checked out either. Would costs me a week without a camera... and who would want that [:^)]

Is just me or is my 60D better sealed than the 7D or 5D II? And I have not held back from getting it wet.

    The level of sealing across the lines is: 1-series > 7D > 5DII > 60D = 50D.

Sorry to hear of your problem, Denise. I think you were unlucky. I spent last week on a photography course on the west coast of Scotland in some of the stormiest weather I've seen for years and nobody had a problem, even with non-sealed equipment.

    This 7D and 24-105mm survived a downpour:

    Shot with my 1D Mark IV and the non-weather sealed EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM @ 300mm, f/9, 1/320s, ISO1250 (tight crop)

Well, I did know that the 60D is "supposed" to less tightly sealed than the 5D II or 7D but with two already having problems it makes me wonder how different they really are, if any. I can

If you were pointing it downward while using or moving the multi-controller, you were opening it up for rain to get in. Its really difficult to seal that multicontroller, but as long as your camera is level or pointing upward, rain does not naturally run into it. This has nothing to do with the lens.

I don't know if you have a weather sealed body or not but it just takes a little longer for the back to get wet even if you keep it horizontal. Water drains from the top of the camera and onto the multicontroller.

I know how to spam a double post a few seconds apart by double clicking, but how did you manage to do it a day apart.
