    Surely it would be more fun (maybe not easier), if there are pro-photographers courtside with off-camera flashes using, say, an ST-E2 or 3rd-party radio-controlled flash, just hack a bit and piggy-back onto their system, fire off their flashes when you take your shots?


    Or if they're not next to their camera (for safety near the action, or just laziness) and using an LC-5, you could trigger their camera and your at the same time. They'd get a shot too, but you get the advantage of their flash-light...
    An awful lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced in the making of this post.

    I do not know your shooting style, but one thing I would think about is that the ISO is not fully automatic on the 5D II, where it is on the 7D. I think in the situation you describe the 7D is still going to be the way to go.


    I am not sure about the 1D III as far as noise, but the 1D IV would of course handle the situation you described better than all.
