    There are also portable softboxes like the Lumiquest softbox III and LTp that look nice. I've never tried them but read about them in "Sketching Light". I'm not sure if the LTp will fit when the flash is on-camera but that shouldn't be hard to find out once you know the models (body & flash) you have. Has anybody any experience with those accesories?

    Thanks, Mark. I did use my on-camera softbox tonight to test if it would cause any problems with blockiing the AF Assist Beam. After numerous shots, taking it off & putting it back on, different positions etc. it didn't cause any problems with blocking the beam.

    I have Sto-Fen and I would not be able to swear that it does anything at all. If so, it must be pretty subtle.
