Not a lot of use if you live in the USA, but I carry much of my gear - light stands, tripods, umbrellas, etc, etc - in a cricketer's gear bag. A type of long duffle bag they are designed to hold bats, pads, etc, stuff that is fairly long.


One advantage is that it looks "ordinary" and doesn't draw the attention that anything which obviously says "expensive photo gear stored in here" does. Combined with two Lowepro bags for the cameras, lenses, flashguns, batteries, M80, etc and I'm off to work.
