I say: try the demo for a few weeks. I tried Viveza (which works on specific colors inside the circle and leaves everything else alone) and was amazed at how easy yet powerful it was. I am saving up for it or looking for a student discount when I start photo school in the fall.





But seriously: try the demo. Not just for an afternoon but really try it. Then you know how easy you adapt and if this software works for you after you grew used to it. Demos are free.
