What to buy next?

I agree with the others... new legs. You can not go wrong with RRS, but I have to agree with Sean. I got the Induro CT414 years ago and it is really stiff. I am pretty sure the CT313 would have been sufficient, but I wanted taller and wanted to error on the side of too big.

I see Induro now has a new version w/o a center column that may be stiffer yet, but I am not to sure about the swivel feet they added on those models. It does not make sense... you would buy a tripod w/o a center column for the added stiffness, but then they added three swivel joints (one on each foot). It seems like the benefit of losing the column is reduced or eliminated with the swivel joints.

Yea I'd prefer no center column, but the swivel feet models look weird. Can you change the feet?

Those of you with Induro tripods, do you also have an Induro head?

I recently upgraded to a set of leggs that have flip locks and larger leg diameter. Whish it didnt have a center column with the flip locks getting it level is sooooo much easier

I don't have an Induro head. I use an Arca-Swiss Monoball Z1 (with an RRS QR clamp on top) on my main tripod and an Oben BC-139 on my backup. I have no regrets on either purchase; I only wish it was easier to change the QR clamp on the Z1 (requires being sent in to a specific camera repair shop).

Same with me - I use the Arca-Swiss Monoball Z1 sp with the Induro tripod. Great combination for me.

I really like the reviews (and price) on the Induro tripods. Leaning towards the CT314 with the BHD3 head. Thanks for all the input! You definitely swayed me towards the tripod instead of the lens. The 16-35 f/4 is definitely still on my want list, but it'll have to wait. With the money saved on the cheaper tripod, I'm going to pick up a LEE filter system and a few filters. I already have a few 77mm filters, but now with the 24-70, I figured it makes more sense to go with the LEE system so I don't have to buy a whole set of 82mm filters.

The Lee system idea is a good one. That is the way to go.
