If they are going to send you a bogus check, this method probably wouldn't change that.

The securist method is this, you meet the buyer face to face at his bank. Get nice fesh hundred dollar bills direct from the cashier.
This is really the only method I use. I haven't sold much stuff, but don't accept anything else. I made mention of the COD since I had not used it before, but thought it might be a deterrent since that person would be giving it to another person who is a federal officer. I guess if your going to get scammed, the person doing the scamming probably doesn't care either way. Great point about handing it over in person.
