I think that everyones suggestions really made a nice improvement!
Other things to consider to promote your idea would be to network at the; Dog Park, Dog Shows, Dog Groomers, Dog agility competitions, and pet stores.
I still think that you should focus on (no pun intended) all other possible aspects of Photography, like weddings (as an assistant to start off), and perhaps even portraits for kids or families.
