    Beautiful photos!

I was at a wedding this weekend and didn't want to get in the "real" photographer's way. I did have my 50mm 1.4 and shot this. Not sharp at all - no tripod, low light, and awkward stance. Anyway, here's the exif: 40D, 50mm @ 1.4, 1/320s, ISO 400.

Actually, now that I've looked at the exif...I must have a pretty unsteady hand. [:O]

Sorry in advance for the many photos, I just shot quite a bit of different stuff this past week.

Not sure what happened here, but I have mixed feelings about the shot. I think that the stick wasn't very visible in the viewfinder at f/2.8 but this was shot at f/9 so now it's much more problematic. What do you guys think? Take it out of the keeper pile?

Thanks for viewing! All of the exif data is available on flickr.

    Cheers,

Jonathan, that chipmunk picture is awesome. I am scared of heights and that would have totally freaked me out!

Denise, your poor dog...what happened? Did she jump to high after one of those bubbles???

Thanks for the comments on the butterfly. That was my favorite out of that day also.

Bob - Nice collection of shots! I like the second waterfall picture the best, and the long exposure sure worked well with the splash pool below. I might suggest trying a polarizer, to take some of the glare off the rock. That would also make the waterfall itself stand out a bit more (and give you another 1-2 stops of exposure length, if you wanted it).

Jayson - Even though it looks like the squirrel is one step away from oblivion, there is actually a gentle slope behind. Perspective is everything!

lol ...no, the brace was a failed attempt to make it so he couldn't reach & bite his back paws. He had made quite a mess of them and caused an infection. He is allergic to our grass amongst a hundred other things (even house dust)! He costs me more $$ then my photo gear!

I love your butterfly photos - I have the same gear and for the life of me, I can't figure out why I can't get photos that sharp!

Thank you very much! I love your bird photos! I really wish I had more types of birds around here to photograph, I'm very envious of your last one!

I shot this one while riding the local bike trail. I came across a bumpy wooden bridge that serendipitously added some nice motion blur.
