Thanks! The sunrise was quite spectacular that day and I enjoy using the Big Stopper every now and then just to see what might happen. I was especially pleased because I had a photographer friend from Missouri visiting and I wanted to show him a good spot for sunrises. Needless to say he was quite blown away by the show. This lake always has a couple patches of open water throughout the winter due to a natural warm spring in the area, which percolates to the surface. And it's sheltered enough that the water is usually calm even when it's a bit windy out. Really it's one of the best photography spots I've ever seen and it's only 30 minutes from my door. In other words, totally an unfair advantage. I'll post some other pictures from Jasper National Park in a separate thread. If any of you are thinking of doing a trip in my area, I can definitely point you in some directions for photo ops!
