Thank you everyone. Exactly the type of feedback I was looking for.

I think that sums it up.
I covered 14 weddings in the last 3 months as second shooter.
I use the 7Dii with the 17-55 and the 85 1.2 on my 5Diii for the majority of sessions. I have a 70-300 which was great outside... but indoors...um not so much.
I alternated renting the 70-200 2.8 and the 50-100 Sigma, for the last four weddings held indoors.
I prefer the 70-200 2.8 on a full frame, but I did enjoy using the 50-100 on the 7Dii.
Since you are sticking with crop sensor-- I think the 24-70 would be a waste -- the equivalent rage is 40-112 a bit further, but huge overlap to your existing lens (27-88), and you lose IS.
As primary shooter-- Most I work for have a 24-70 and 70-200 on full frame
many have above plus select primes.
another basically used her 50 mm the whole day and I captured all the long shots.
So-- It will depend on the style you wish to deliver.
spend the money on the Sigma 50-100 1.8, or canon 70-200 2.8 .
try before you buy- rent for a weekend and give them a try.
So I went with the Sigma 50-100 1.8. I have an event this Friday. Indoor wine tasting at a very upscale hotel. Event sponsored by Cadillac. Seems like a great opportunity to break in the Sigma...I will post some shots.
Thanks again guys.
Awesome! Looking forward to the images.
