    Joel,
    glad that you are ok.

The best camera is the one you have with you. Btw if you ever want to geotag your DSLR photos, just take a pic with the phone while on location, and I think Lightroom let's you copy the location data from the iPhone photo to the others.

Got a chance to try my hand at photography with my very first I-phone!
Glad you are OK and no big damage - Ice is ice and 4 or 10 wheel drive it doesn't make much of a difference. Must have been an interesting ride - I bet it was in relative slow motion.

Sometimes 4 wheel drive just lets you get stuck in more inaccessible places

OMG, Joel! I am glad you are ok! I had read online that the south was getting hit with some nasty weather! Nice shot of the truck with the new iphone ...I assume it came in handy for calling a tow truck also!

@Mark - Beautiful shot!! It's been way too cold for me to venture out but I can see from my LR window in the morning that I am missing out on some beautiful sunrises lately!

I am finally able to catch up, and there are some fantastic photos. Here are a couple recent ones from unusually cold Maryland.

Love the bridge shot, Larry. It does look cold.

I've been playing around with the 6D's Multi-Shot Noise Reduction (MSNR) setting. This was taken with the 70-300L at 300mm and f5.6 and is a pretty serious crop. The dolls are on top of a bookcase in a fairly dark corner of the living room. ISO 8000. Not too bad, I think. I can't wait to try this on a real nighttime scene. Of course moving objects will be a no-no in this mode.

Another MSNR. This one is 25600 ISO. This isn't supposed to be possible, is it?

Well this certainly makes me want to upgrade the 7d to the 6d! Wow! I don't even like iso 3200 on the 7d. I'm going to Ireland in June, and something tells me a 6d might be a "requirement" for the trip.
