    I get that impression

I went for an easy waterfall hike yesterday and went to Beaver Brook Falls in Keene, NH. The falls itself was a little too turbulent to get great photos of, but I tried to make the "scene" work. A few from the trip:

If anyone on flickr wants to crop the eyeball, they are welcome to it! I have gotten used to my photos showing up on tumblr, etc., just a sad fact of posting photos on the internet but when someone puts their logo on them, then my feathers get more than just a little ruffled, especially when it is my own dog! So now I am experimenting with new ways to deter theft ...this might work!

Brant - great job with those waterfall shots. I'm wondering if trying HDR would have made a difference. You might get a bit more detail in the falls that way. Normally I don't even try shooting waterfalls in direct sun, but yours worked quite well.

Mark---pictures like that make me excited for spring. My tulips/etc have just broken the ground. No flowers yet.

Denise and Jonathan...thanks for your comments! Jonathan, I think you are right, I should have tried HDR. I was focused on ND filters. The second image has a 2 stop grad ND filter on the falls. The first one is just a 10 stop B+W screw in filter. But, thanks again for the comments.

My son is really into Lego Architecture. This gave me an opportunity to practice on product photography. After reviewing them, I probably should have brought a dust rag.
