    But until then my 600 is still an excelent birding lens.

    These are from early this morning, I am experimenting with Nik Color Efex Pro by using a bi-color filter on the backgrounds, what do you all think? Is it too much?

    Joel, I really like these, They look very natural-----It would be interesting to see the before and after for camparison.

    I like the backgrounds alot, Joel! I too have been playing with Color Efex Pro the last few days. Subtle is definitely the key on some of the presets and you have done a very nice job of applying them!

    Bob....I will try to flush all birds towards the west if possible

    Denise, you are right, one of the cool things about Color Efex Pro is that it automatically creates a layer and you can adjust the opacity so the effect is more subtle. The bi-color filter has opacity adjustments as well so you can dial it in as desired.
