Nice shots, David! They are two awesome looking dogs but if I ever own another, I would love to have one that looks just like Zuni!

Not sure how well everyone knows their breeds, so I'll just mention what she is. She's an Australian Shepherd. The mixed coloring pattern is referred to as a Blue Merle. There are also Red Merles. The merle coloring is genetic, and it's dangerous to breed two merles together. So, you'll breed a merle and a non-merle, and hope that some puppies will be merles. I think there are two or three breeds that get merle patterns, so you may be able to find something more sedate than an Aussie.
In the first week we had her, atleast a half-dozen people ask us where we found a breeder that would let us keep the tail. Most breeders will clip the tails off of Aussies, and in many countries you can't show an Aussie that doesn't have a clipped tail, but we don't care about showing her. So where did we get her? My wife's best friend happens to breed them. She's in Poland, and we're in Canada. Over the New Year's Holidays, my wife flew over to pick up Zuni's brother, changed her mind, and came home with Zuni.

Belger,
That should seriously be a stock photo somewhere. I can see it as an advertisement for happy doggies food, or something. Great shot.
Thanks for sharing.
Dave.

Thx Dave,
I have send this picture to a Dutch stockphoto site, but they said the exposure was to dark.
I like the picture as well, but I see that the next time I have to look more closely. If I had do take it again, I would have removed the collar
Ah,
Its funny, after I posted my first post, I thought I might mention that I thought it was a bit on the underexposed side, but it is their loss right?
