Very nice b&w, franco! I love doing street photography but I always feel like a stalker when I do and I still haven't worked up my nerve to ask people if I can take their photo!

Thanks Denise! I love your macro shots, this B&W really adds some mood to it.

Thank you, Franco! I find doing b&w fun but very challenging to get just right!

I've found it's much much easier if you can go with someone else.

There's also the *I'm pretending to take a really wide angle landscape shot of the sky.... but then I zoom in on your face...* technique

    Nice shots Ham and Denise.
I'll post that kookaburra again, because it was just so easy to shoot him that day. I'll also include the link to his laugh, just in case you haven't heard a kookaburra, they are like nothing else.

    Thats great Steve!

I have only seen one of these birds before and it was in an aviary in a small town near where I went to school. I remember there being a little kid trying to make the call of the bird and eventually the real thing let out its characteristic call. Very neat little critter.

Beautiful b&w, Steve! Thanks for my first laugh of the day (even before I've had my morning coffee) ...not at the photo but at the link you provided! I don't know what was funnier, the bird or watching all three of my dogs sit next to each other and tilt their heads side to side in unison as they listened to this unfamiliar bird!
