Haven't been out taking photos for a loooonnnngggg time. New house had some roof problems so I have been busy with that. But, I'm heading to New Mexico in a couple weeks and should be shooting a lot (I need a vacation). Anyways, my friend and I went on our yearly Crotaphytus collaris (Collared Lizard) search yesterday. Unlike last year, we were successful this year:

I had no idea how difficult it was going to be to get the pic w/ the wings open. I know I humor my wife, last spring I was doing the macro shot of the bee in the crape myrtles, with my 70-200 & extension tubes. This one is the butterfly flitting around the flowers in our front yard and me cursing as I couldn't get a pic w/ the wings all the way open w/ the 5dIII and the 70-200 w/ the 2x Tc. 5k of camera gear and couldn't get a pic of a butterfly. She was laughing so hard she snorted.
