Thanks for the compliments, everyone. I left this one all natural, as this was the first lizard I have shot in about a year that wasn't tied down; i.e., I didn't have a collecting permit to capture this species. So, as I sprawled out on the ground (getting numerous ticks in the process) with my "lizard lens (300mm f4L IS), a friend of mine moved around behind me to elicit the lizard to change positions. For some reason this worked with this guy. Typically they just run away. Collared lizards are pretty fast and will run on only their hind legs. I always wanted to get a shot of that, but I have never been successful to this date.
