Why thank you...This was one of the few remaining before the boys attacked. They love these "mushrooms" or so they call them. Now if you saw the front yard, it would be another story []

There are some very good photos on here this time around. very nice work everyone!!!

    Hi, powers_brent!

Some times, I think, back lit ears can attract too much attention, IMO...

Awesome! The contrast between the two birds is really cool. Would be cooler if the white one was higher (or lower).. but birds are random.

Chris, that is some fantastic work. Did you have to wade out into the marsh to get these shots. If so it was definitely worth it.

    Cheers,

    Dave.

Thanks guys. Yea it was a very smelly salt marsh. Thick with mosquitoes, but also Herons, Egrets, Spoonbills and Ibis. Headed back there in an hour or so for some re-takes. Looking to cut the distance with the Reddish - didn't love the backgrounds on those. Hopefully they'll cooperate. [:P]

Sorry those pics posted so big. Beginner's mistake.

Chris, the pictures look great. Kudos on the trecking through the smelly marsh with mosquitos. I would have quit at mosquitoes.[]

Sean, love, love, love the shots. I attempted to use some of your shots in the past for inspiration, but failed miserably on the lighting aspect. I guess I will have to keep practicing!

Denise, love the shot with the dog and the bug. I don't know how you got that, but it is cool!

    Great shots everyone.

You learn much more from failure than you ever do from success. For every picture I post, Itook probably30 shots that session before I got it right (I'm getting slightly better, though, as it used to take 50!). :-)

Thanks! To be honest, I don't know how I got it either! I didn't even know the bug was there until I uploaded it on my computer but it was a nice surprise! [:P]
