Hmmm, That was a very bad time to do my tax return today, from when I was working in Europe last year.
Because I only worked half a year, and they took out tax at a full year's rate, I was figuring I'd get at least a grand back.
So i did the tax return online today, and they said my expected refund to be €2611.
That's US$3408.
That's just a smidge less than a 5D mk3 will cost.
sigh.
It's going to take a lot of willpower to not pull the trigger.
And I've just gotten a new credit card with $8000 limit.
sigh.
It's a dangerous time to be my bank balance...

OMG how good is it? Very very good. The menu totally different. 12800 ISO is totally usable. I loved it and can't wait.

It might not mean that. I ordered on the 6th and got no such email. Possibly it is something they send out after a fixed period of time on unfulfilled orders.Guess that means I'm not in the first shipment....
More likely, with all the reports of 5D III's ready to ship to the stores any day now, they are getting tired of all the calls and of people asking were theirs is. They are probably trying to reduce the stress of thier employees having to answer all the calls and explain that they do not have them yet.Guess that means I'm not in the first shipment....
