    Why are you selling it?

From a previous post of Denise's, apparently to get a 7D. I wonder if she'll try to sell than after a couple of months to upgrade to a 1D MkIV?

#1 reason would be speed but if I don't sell it that would be ok for now. I don't feel an overwhelming need to change right now but there are a few things about it that I don't like and wanted to sell it while it still has some resale value and get something I would be much happier having for a number of years. The 7D is more than what I really need right now, I realize that.

Right. That's why I got my 7D. Are you missing shots at 4fps? If you aren't, maybe spending $1000 more wouldn't be that great of an idea...

Hurry up! The T2i was just announced. You have about a month I think...

That's not the point. If spending $1000 more buying a 7D will help you significantly and solve your problems, then GO FOR IT! It's just that camera bodies never solve the problems. Sometimes spending more money on equipment is a huge help, sometimes it's a waste. If you have a camera store near you, try the 7D for yourself with one of your lenses. Determine it it's a help or a waste. You might find you have some of the same problems that you had with your t1i with your 7d. At least for me, 90% of the time I get pissed with my 7D it's my fault, not my camera's.

Trying out/renting the 7D will help to prove/disprove that. If you use it and you can clearly see it helping your photography, it's worth it. And remember, the 7D won't take the picture. You will. I've said it before, Nate could take better bird images witha 55-250 than I could with his 500 f/4.

5D MkII (if you want FF). You can get it for just over $2000 new, now. Here's how:

    1) Buy the kit Bryan mentioned on January 18th: 5d II, 24-105, 16Gb Extreme IV, Spare Battery ($3299, Adorama)

    2) Also get the PIXMA Pro 9000 II ($447)

    3) Get $400 rebate on Printer, I think there is a $60 rebate on the memory card

    4) Sell everything but the 5D on ebay (24-105: $850; PIXMA: $250; Extreme IV 16Gb: $100; Battery: $70 )

    5) Subtract ebay fees ($80)

That gets you a 5D Mark II body for $2097. the difficulty is selling off the other items. You probably want the battery and the memory card (though selling the battery and buying 2 generic batteries might be a better option. These are the schemes I dream of but hardly ever carry out.
