It was my concrete patio in my backyard. Shading changed very slightly in post to try and even it out more.

Thank you very much, Jayson! I have just started practicing various b&w applications and your thumbs up on this one really means a lot to me!
Not my pet, but it escaped from one of our neighbours (or they released it on purpose) a few years ago, and it's taken up residence in the drain between our block and the neighbours.
I think it's a Bluetongue Lizard, not a sleepy lizard, i'll try get a shot of him opening his mouth one day...

An awful lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced in the making of this post.

Stupid Cat. These are my first successful (non-plushy) portraits when I was starting out with off-camera flash. The key light is bounced off a white wall to the right, but the hair light is triggered wirelessly.

Beautiful cat pictures! I have a hard time balancing everything when I shoot my black dog but you sure did everything perfect here!
I have been trying to shoot as much as I can this weekend! This shot was taken with one of the lenses that I thought I would put first on my list to sell but after taken this shot which is now one of my favorites ...how can I let this lens go!
Wonderful picture Denise. Great capture. I just love the Dog

I usually have to overexpose the background to get good dur detail, like this one.
