Here's an astro photo I took recently:

Markarian's Chain by Stephen, on Flickr

This is Markarian's Chain which is a series of galaxies which seem to move together. There are actually several more galaxies together in the frame but I don't think they technically all belong to the same grouping. Still amazes me to think how large "space" is....each of these fuzzy dots is an entire galaxy of stars.

Comments and critique certainly welcome as I am still very new to this astro photo stuff!

    Stephen

Here are a few of my more or less current shots. All taken with my M6 Mark II and EF-M lenses. I traded some of my full-frame lenses for a R6 a few weeks ago but still haven't used it much.

I recently spent a few days in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Here are a couple of favorite scenes from the Porcupine Mountains.

Nice, Stephen! What equipment did you use? Do you mind sharing details such as number of exposures/exposure times?

Kind of annoying that you can get this kind of result when still "new to this astro photo stuff"

Markarian's Chain is one of my favorites for visual observation in the Spring, but I have never gotten a decent astrophoto of it.

    Jon.
