Great shots of that Mantis Denise!!! That first one is awesome! I am very jealous of these since I have been chasing a great photo of a mantis for 2 years. They don't frequent the places I visit.

Thanks, Jayson! I have never seen one before today other than in photos so I was pretty excited! I took plenty of shots but I still have to go through them. You can count on seeing more though real soon!! Now, if I could just get a nice shot of a dragonfly!

Awesome shots, Denise. I keep resisting the urge to buy a macro lens. Maybe I shouldn't. Looks like fun.

Thanks!! I think I would part with my long lens before I would do without having a macro lens at all! I miss my Canon 100mm IS L lens but this one seems to get the job done ok! I used Kenko extension tubes on these two shots also!

Denise, that last mantis shot is awesome!

I found a little spider on spider action yesterday. I only had my XTi handy at the time with no flash so not as good as I had hoped, but cool none the less.

Finally got a chance to go out shooting... so I got a little carried away here.

Wonderful shots, Pat! Everything from the sharpness and detail to the exposure ...really well done!

Well, I just received the Sigma 150mm OS macro yesterday and have been trying to decide whether I should keep it and sell my brand new Sigma 105mm OS macro. Both have there advantages and disadvantages. I have been extremely pleased with the 105mm but the added reach is also nice to have. I don't think the 150mm focuses as fast and accurate as the 105mm though. More testing to do but I need to make a decision today!
