Blue moon by dfwatsoneuro, on Flickr
I learned more about producing monochrome of a particular hue from our local photo club. Last night was a "blue moon", so I took a shot at giving it a faint blue cast.
I guess I have only been posting "once in a blue moon," anyway.
Glad both Brant and Neuroanatomist (is it John?) had good trips to Italy!

Nice, Danny! Next blue moon, try setting the WB to tungsten.
Here's my version, black and white conversion using DxO FilmPack's version of Kodak Tmax 100 (that was the film I used most often, back when I shot film).

Best,
John
Thanks for the advice, John. For our club assignment we were encouraged to explore conversion to monochrome without presets, but of course a good preset is way quicker.
I finished editing some shots from a 2023 trip to Europe, mostly in Andalusia region of Spain. I am entering one in the monthly contest. Here is another that I liked from the Cathedral in Seville.

Great detail Danny!
I just got back from Europe as well. I've been through the pictures from Prague. I posted one in the monthly and here are a few others that I liked.

Thanks for viewing...Brant
Love the mood of the set from Prague.
I don't know much about architecture, but I think I get the point in this building. The distance from foreground to the fartherst arch was about 240 feet.

First real use of my full spectrum converted EOS M6, on a trip to San Francisco last week.
"Financial District IR" – seen from my room on the top (32nd) floor of the Parc 55 Hotel
EOS M6, full spectrum conversion, EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM @ 18mm, 1/200 s, f/8, ISO 125, 550nm IR filter, red-blue channel swap
Very "cool" indeed!
I have an infrared 7DII conversion, haven't used it for a long time ..... inspires me to dust it off and at least see if it still functions.
Thanks!
