How far are we these days? I mean with the assignment,,
I photographed this two years ago during my trip to my grandfather's hometown in Ben Tre, Vietnam. These elementary school students are such great subject to photograph. As soon as I raised my camera, they all came and made faces to the cameras, as you can see the girls are more shy than the boys. Notice the school yard is not paved, the children are wearing slippers instead of shoes and if you look carefuly I intentionally added the barbwire fence in the forground.

Kids that age I try to photograph usually think it is funny to cover up the lens with their hands. Maybe the barbed wire helped in more ways than one
