This was taken at the Wild Spirit wolf sanctuary in western New Mexico. They actually let serious photographers in the habitats (for a small fee--of course)

That wolf is pretty cool. Since I don't get out much to shoot actual wildlife in the wild, I am stuck with zoo pictures. Here are a couple more of mine.

These two were taking at a small zoo in the flatlands of Colombia. Unfortunantly they were taken with my old camera and I did not get them super well setup but they are cool anyway.

I had another trip to the zoo this weekend and the kids gave me a couple of seconds to snapshots of jellyfish. These were taken with 85mm @ 2.2, iso 800, 1/30 sec. PP noise and contrast with a little saturation adjustment. They are in a tank with the only lightsource in the room being a blacklight.

Nice portraits. I like watching snow leoparts a lot. In my local zoo there is one that walks around with his tail in his mouth. Toobad they are kept behind a wire mesh, I couldn't grab a good shot.


Is that blur a lens blur or a post processing one?

I am using a Rebel XTi with a EF 50 f/1.4 for the first pic and a 100 - 400 L for the rest
