Thanks. I stumbled across the site this morning and I've spent the better part of the day reading reviews on the site and topics in the forum.

All three of the shots were done with a single speedlite (either a 430EX II or a 600EX-RT) with a shoot through umbrella triggered by a Canon 60D wirelessly, I love that feature of the camera.

    Aye Carumba, Steve!

Welcome, Patrick! Like the 2nd shot best. Great work on all of them! I've got friends from tallahasee that live up in NC where I went to college. Went to school for mechanical engineering, now they own a beer brewery... guess all that drinking we did paid off in some way.

I'd just like to say thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I'm looking forward to interacting with people equally addicted and fascinated with photography. My wife can only take so much of me talking about it before she stops pay attention.

Took some shots of friends for their baby turning 3 months. We had been taking them here in SC for maternity and newborn, but since we were all going to be in KC for a minute, I figured there was as good a place as any to get them!

This was two shot blend done with some layer masking in photoshop. The buildings were about 2-3 stops too bright for the subjects to be a proper exposure.

Probably my favorite of the bunch.

I'm with Steve, I like the second one the best. Seeing those pictures reminded me of this one I took of my son when he was about that age, 4 or 5 months old. My wife, son, and I sneaked into the football stadium early on a Saturday morning to get a picture of him on the field. We had planned on him sitting next to the helmet but as soon as we set him down he rolled over and assumed the position of doing push-ups.

Give me 20. He looks serious, he probably thinks those shoes are inappropriate for a workout. Nice pic.

Moved to SoCal early 60's. Near the beach. Lucky, I guess. Blessed is more like it.

Boy. I had to swallow hard before I posted this question. I haven't been able to access any of the photos. All of the links start out like this (or some variation) [img]/cfs...and so on. It's not showing up as a "link" so how do I access the body of work?

    Thanks! :'(
