Here is a shot from the Desert View end of the Grand Canyon. There were some fires in California and one on the North Rim causing the canyon to be relatively smoke filled.....

Thanks Pat. I seem to be converting several of the shots I took to the Grand Canyon to B&W. Seems to fit the scenery.
Here is another I PP'd this morning....

During a walk through the mall looking for some shorts yesterday, I came across a store having a canvas sale. I was amazed at some of the black and white work and it inspired me to see what some of my nature closeups would look like in BW. Here is what I came up with. I definitely don't take enough time to look at things in BW and I think that might change.

Location is Derwent Reservoir, Derbyshire, famous as the training location for the dam buster squadron before their raid on the Rhur Valley Dams in 1943

Haydn, your picture brings back childhood memories of visits to the Derwent Valley. I grew up in Nottingham so the Peak District was a favourite weekend destination for the family.
B&W isn't my usual style, but you've inspired me to convert this shot of Connel Bridge.
