Here's a couple shots from my trip to China last summer.

The first one is a pseudo-HDR I took while biking through rice paddies in Yangshuo.

The second shot is also from Yangshuo, we spent a few hours riding a bamboo raft down the Li River when my brother jumped off the raft and hopped on a water buffalo. The woman holding the other end of the rope did require a small donation for the shot (I think it was 5 yuan - or less than $1) which we were happy to pay.

Single image pseudo-HDR (adjusted in iPhoto for +/- 2 exposures, then combined in Photomatix)

Re: Post your Best Travel Photo

G'day all. Well I just got back from one of the most fun weekends I've had in a long time. I travelled around 700 km to the Birdsville horse racesin the middle of the Simpson Desert here is Australia. The races have been run since 1882 and it's a pretty iconic part ofour historyand is on a lot of peoples' to-do lists.

This was the second time I've been, last time it wasso dusty that you could hardly see 25m in front of you as there hadn't been any rain for 2 years. This time however we had so much rain on the first day of races that 3,000 people were flooded into the town for 6 days and was the first time in history that the raceshad been called off due to bad weather. Birdsville is a pretty typical bush town consisting of a road house, a pub and a pie shop (meat pies for you Americanos out there). So we had no choice to sit at the pub with 3000 others for a few days and drink beer.... how terrible []

Anyway, here's a couple of shots that I've processed so far. I'll keep em coming if you're interested.

    Ben.

Keep em coming, I like them!

The second one is my favorite of the two. I'm not really sure why, but I love the little movement in the clouds and the hazy waters.

Ps: that panoramic crop works really great for me [Y]
