Any pointers on dog photography (besides get the hand out of the picture)? I volunteer at the humane society and one of the other volunteers and I who play around with photography a little have decided to take over the website picture responsibilities. Any pointers/suggestions (e.g., best time of day to shoot, flash positions, etc....) would be greatly appreciated.

I had a snowboarding themed shoot planned for over a month but most of the snow melted in the week right before the shoot. Then we got 10 inches of snow the day after, just my luck.

I'm currently pretty sick and don't even have the energy toleave the house but I was able to take a few shots from my bedroom window! Even a bad case of the flu/pneumonia can't stop an addict although the 7d + 100-400mm sure seems alot heavier right now so photos aren't the best ...

The birds were pretty grateful thata squirrel brought bread over from the neighbors yard andleft it in my tree!

My first attempt at anything like this. I figure it should be good enough for eBay [:P]Gold trimmed custard glass made sometime between 1890 and 1905. SB-28 with a 40 something inch shoot through umbrella camera left. I used a roll of paper to make a seamless background.

Here is a shot of the setup:
